Godmanchester Bridge Academy has been rated as 'Good' overall after its first inspection in more than five years. 

Inspectors, who visited the school between December 17-18 last year, identified "high expectations for pupils' achievement," especially in reading and mathematics. 

The report found the school had developed an "interesting and ambitious curriculum" with pupils receiving "targeted support" in areas such as learning to read. 

The inspection also praised the efforts of staff who provide "precise additional support" for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
