OFSTED Report

GBA had an Ofsted inspection in December 2024. We were really pleased with the findings in the report. The report recognises the school’s effective action to maintain high standards, and we are proud of the hard work of pupils, staff, and leaders that has contributed to their success.

The report praises the school’s nurturing environment. Pupils feel happy, safe, and well-supported; staff are attentive to pupils’ emotional well-being, and this creates a calm atmosphere where pupils are eager to learn.

High expectations in reading and mathematics have led to strong pupil achievement. Pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive effective support and the school’s therapeutic approach to behaviour has helped pupils to develop positive habits and attitudes.

The report highlights that “pupils learn to be confident and fluent readers and build a wide range of knowledge across the curriculum.” The school’s ambitious curriculum is being developed to provide richer local experiences. Pupils enjoy trips, clubs, and leadership roles like house captains, all of which help them grow personally and socially as well as academically.
