Welcome to year 3! My name is Mrs Briggs and I am the class teacher for Swift Class. I am looking forward to being your class teacher for the year. I have got lots of interesting topics to teach you. I love learning new things and thinking about what can help me become a better learner. One tool I use is sketch notes, this helps me to remember key information and it reduces my cognitive load. I am looking forward to teaching you how to become more metacognitive in your thinking.

I love reading and I have some interesting and exciting children’s books to share with you this year. One of my favourites is called ‘Charlie changes into a chicken’. I am excited to find out if Charlie does become a chicken! Another subject I love to teach is writing. This year we will write a range of Fiction and Non-Fiction texts including writing a story based on living in the Stone Age and creating a set on instructions on how to have a clear mind.
